Product description
GMB stabilizer link
GMB's stabilizer link has moderate friction torque and rotational movement, enabling smooth operation of the vehicle. In addition, it responds appropriately to irregular changes in the road surface, supporting stable vehicle performance and a secure ride.
In order to realize these, GMB uses a resin sheet (POM: ACETAL) with excellent friction resistance and special synthetic grease between the ball of the ball joint to minimize friction, and a dust cover. We are working to extend the life of the stabilizer link by using muddy water permeation prevention grease inside the (dustproof cover).
At Thai GMB, we carry out static tests, destructive tests, and durability tests required during development to ensure product reliability.
Ride quality and safety are guaranteed by thorough quality control, in parallel with appropriate heat treatment and thorough acceptance inspection of special steel, and voluntary inspection and patrol inspection in each manufacturing process.
Stabilizer link function
In the independent suspension type suspension, the left and right balance may be lost depending on the road surface condition, so it is necessary to synchronize the left and right wheels. Therefore, a stabilizer bar is installed with spring material, and the stabilizer bar is fixed to the vehicle body so that a torsion moment is generated by the difference in height between the left and right wheels.
Since the vertical motion energy due to the difference in height between the left and right wheels can be converted into torsion energy to maintain the balance of both wheels, it is possible to prevent the tilting state of the wheels and suppress vibration.
Stabilizer One of the control links is fixed to the stabilizer and the other is fixed to the car body. Recently, the length of the stabilizer control link has become longer because it is often fixed to the damper toward the car body. Since buckling is more likely to occur as the length increases, the diameter of the bar is determined in consideration of buckling.
For objects in front of the strut suspension vehicle, the strut also rotates as the steering wheel rotates, so the operating angle of the stabilizer control bar increases.
Stabilizer link structure
There is a connecting rod to connect and fix the stabilizer bar to the vehicle body, and there are connecting devices at both ends of the connecting rod. There are two types of connecting devices: ball joint type and rubber bush type.
In the ball joint type, there is a resin ball sheet in the housing welded to the connecting rod, and the ball studs are located in it. Special synthetic grease is put between the ball stud and the ball sheet to prevent friction. To prevent grease leakage and intrusion, a plug is inserted into one side of the housing to crimp the housing, and a dust cover filled with grease is assembled to the other side.
The ball stud has a width across flats, either a hex or hex hole for spanning, for assembly or disassembly. ..
